Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Look at those big, sweet eyes! Sauce Box is looking for a new home. Maybe you're the one?....
Sauce Box is a an adorable and sweet but very nervous boy. He came to the shelter with a small group of boxers whose previous owner was overwhelmed with too many animals. Each of the boys is smaller than your average male boxer - they're each around 45 lbs. and they're definitely shorter than average.
They each have a big personality in a small package (relatively small, of course, as male boxers usually weigh 20+ lbs. more than these guys). None of them are comfortable on a leash as they're not accustomed to it, but when you take their leashes off (which you could only safely do in a fenced yard as loud noises, etc. spook them and they would be flight risks), they will approach gingerly and lick people in the face and stand nearby them for pets. They all also are skilled at the mini zoomies, which they spring into if you throw a plush toy or run around like a goofball.
Sauce Box and his brothers Chatter Box and Soap Box may or may not be able to live successfully with another dog because none of them like one another. We would be willing to try a dog meeting here at the shelter though if any potential adopter were to have a resident dog in the home. We have no idea how they would do with a cat. They're looking for an adult-only home and a fenced yard is a must for these guys because they're not comfortable with a leash yet.
If you're interested in adopting Sauce Box, call the shelter at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to schedule an appointment!
