Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophie is a super sweet little young female cat. She is a pretty little calico who got off to a rough start in life with some dental problems. We sent her to surgery and she had most of her teeth extracted due to stomatitis, but since we've done that, she is eating really well now. She is FIV positive but is in good health and is a real snuggle bug who loves to sit in your lap and cuddle. She grew up with a big pit bull and now lives with a cocker spaniel and really loves her dog friends.

All Ayla's cats must be indoor only and declawing is not allowed. A home visit is required and there is a small adoption fee. If you are interested in adopting this pretty lady, please go to Aylasacres.org and submit an adoption application.

We don't have a facility, so we screen applicants thoroughly before we set up a meet and greet. We conduct a vet check, reference check and a home check. We typical set up the meet at the adoptive home so the home check can be completed at the same time. If both parties agree the pup is a good fit we complete the adoption agreement and accept the adoption fee.

We are tackling the problem one animal at a time. Ayla’s Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue is a St. Augustine, Florida-based 501(c)(3) supporting adoption, spay and neuter, and responsible care of animals. Along with education, outreach, and adoption and fostering programs, Ayla’s Acres also maintains a 45-acre sanctuary where “unadoptable” animals may live out their lives with peace, love, and dignity.
