Meet our super sweet, handsome Gus! He’s an 11 month old Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix currently weighing 80+ lbs. He’s an incredibly loving boy that enjoys all the affection you can give him, and then some. His foster home is working on basic commands, which are coming along well. Gus is fully housebroken and crate trained, and lets you know when he needs to go out. He has not had any accidents inside. He’s good around children and other dogs. He is still a puppy, so he does tend to chew on random objects if he doesn’t have enough toys and chews available to him, but that’s to be expected. Gus is loyal to his people and might be a tad slow to warm up to new people right at first, but then is just a big happy guy. He really is a great dog! He’d love a family who will take him on walks, out to socialize, in the car for joyrides, and keep him forever. Due to no fault of his own, he was surrendered to us by his family who had fallen on hard times. They had bred his mother, resulting in Gus, so his breed mix should be accurate. He is now neutered, up to date on all vetting and vaccines, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, microchipped, and ready to meet you! His adoption donation fee is: $375. We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
