My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chip! This 7-and-a-half-year-old Spaniel blend weighs 30 lbs. Chip is a happy boy who is always happy to receive belly rubs and affection, do you have some spare to give?

  • General Behavior: Chip is a total sweetheart who will quickly wiggle his way into your heart…and your lap. He can often be found right by his humans side waiting for his next head scratch and snuggle. He truly desires the spoiled life.

  • Likes & Dislikes: Charming Chip enjoys his daily routine and gets excited to go on his daily walks and looks forward to mealtime. He occasionally likes to grab a bone to chew on, but overall, just wants to be with his humans.

  • Training: This adorable guy has good basic manners and is a polite passenger in the car. He does well with his housetraining when kept to a consistent schedule. He is still working on his leash manners.

  • Medical: Chip is a healthy boy and just requires his monthly heartworm and flea preventive like any other pooch.

  • Other Animals: Chip interacts well with other calm and laid back dogs. He is not a fan of rowdy or playful pups. He has not yet been introduced to any cats.

  • Children: Chip MUST go to a home without children, this includes homes where children may visit, and homes where children may be a possibility in the future. He requires to be the only fur baby in his humans life.

  • Home: A single-family home or dog-friendly apartment living would be just fine for this cutie! As long as Chip gets his daily walks, he is a happy camper!

  • Grooming: Chip will not require any frequent grooming other than occasional brushing of his luscious tail.

  • Overall: Chip is a very sweet, goofy, and easy going boy who will make a great companion for a dog-loving family!

Are you the one for Chip? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with his foster family if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption donation is $275.

We are a foster-based rescue organization and do not have a facility. We have all events posted on our website each month.

More about this rescue

Poodle and Pooch Rescue is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that saves dogs that truly need help. We rescue the "leftovers" from animal control, the dogs nobody wants because they're older or suffer from neglect, abuse or have a medical need. Their "last" day becomes the first day of their new life. We provide the veterinary care they need, a foster family they love and when they're ready, we adopt them to a family who cherishes them. We do not have a physical shelter because every dog lives with one of our foster families. We are all volunteers so your tax-deductible donation goes directly to help the dogs. We have saved over 5,500 dogs since 2008.
