My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mickey and Jagger are the dynamic duo of your dreams, and they are ready to rock n' roll their way into your life!

Mickey is a bit more shy and nervous than his heftier brother Jagger but both are ready for the band's after-party and are extremely friendly and have a strong social demeanor. Once comfortable, they aren't afraid to seek out attention from familiar and new human friends! They mostly spend the majority of their days cosplaying as loaves, but have been known to chase each other around for a game of tag when they aren't seeking out those cuddles. Both boys love attention and petting, often rolling over so you can make sure their bellies get some scritches too.

Their journey to PAWS was the result of a change at home, with a family member moving in that was allergic to them. They have previously lived with and/or had exposure to dogs and kids. We took their singing of "Gimme Shelter" and have shown their true adaptability as they currently live with multiple cats and a dog. They both get on famously with all the house pets and resident people and could easily join a new family as only pets or fit in with your current brood, especially elementary aged kids on up. Both at the shelter and in foster care, they settled in quickly and won a host of fans because of their sweet, charming personalities.

Mickey (black) and Jagger (gray tabby) both come with their own separate medical needs, so their adopters should be prepared to immediately follow-up with their own full service vet while working through them. Mickey has a history of constipation, so we have him on a twice daily med to assist with that, which should be continued until your own vet can either recommend the same or any new treatments. The meds are easy to administer-  you just add it to his food which he laps up eagerly.  Jagger needs dental work soon: a cleaning and very likely extractions. The need for a dental clinic does not sway Jagger from enjoying his meals. Unfortunately, due to his prior weight (30 lbs) and now current weight (~22lbs), he needs to lose even more in order to safely receive that surgery. He eats a low calorie diet to help out and give him lots of opportunities to play, and we will need his new family to continue that so he can be as happy and healthy as he deserves to be.

A personality so legendary, we needed to split their full name up into two cats -- Mickey and Jagger!
