Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Toro, the sociable and energetic canine companion who's always up for an adventure! Toro's enthusiasm for life is infectious, especially when it comes to interacting with others-whether they're furry or not.
Toro has an uncanny love for all dogs, regardless of their size. From small pups to towering giants, Toro welcomes them with open paws and a wagging tail. His fascination with cats adds a touch of mischief to his character; he enjoys chasing his foster cat sister, though he's remarkably gentle and never aggressive, even when playtime gets spirited.
One of Toro's favorite spots is the dog park, where he eagerly sniffs out his friends for a rousing game of fetch or a good romp. Speaking of fetch, Toro is a master at it! He adores playing with balls or any engaging toy, and he's learned the command to "drop the ball" like a pro. A tennis ball is his absolute favorite-watch him zoom after one and bring it back with unmatched enthusiasm.
Daily walks are a highlight for Toro, who thrives on both morning and evening strolls, covering up to two miles each time. His boundless energy is matched only by his love for treats, with tuna, Southern biscuits (the buttered kind), peanut butter, and dog treats topping his list. Toro's food motivation makes him a quick learner for commands, especially when treats are involved.
When it comes to people, Toro is a social butterfly. He welcomes new faces warmly and doesn't bark at visitors or when someone knocks on the door. While Toro handles car rides well, he's a bit wary of the wind whipping through open windows-perhaps the one thing that gives him pause in an otherwise joy-filled life.
Although Toro isn't keen on kennel time, he adapts well if needed, though he'd much rather be out and about, exploring the world and making new friends. With Toro, every day is an opportunity for play, learning, and spreading happiness wherever his adventures take him.
His next adventure, and yours, could be together.

More about this rescue
We are a tax exempt nonprofit 501c3 based in San Antonio,Texas. Formed in 2017, our mission is to raise funds for animal rescue and find forever homes for our adoptable cats and dogs. Donations are used for veterinary costs, intake fees to animal rescue providers, transport costs to rescue partners and animal fostering costs. To fund our charitable animal rescue efforts we rely solely on the much needed donations of our generous supporters. We can't do it without you!
Your donation directly helps the animals in need, as we do not draw any salaries. We rehabilitate and then adopt our cats and dogs to amazing pet owners not only in San Antonio but throughout the country. We work with many local shelters, rescues and individuals to save as many as we can.
