Penny is an 8 year old, 15 lb Rat Terrier. She was adopted from Humane Tomorrow 7 years ago, but sadly, her adoptive dad passed away last year, and adoptive mom has serious health issues and can no longer care for Penny. We promised that we would find another wonderful home for Penny, one with people who will adore her as much as they did. She is an active 8 year old, so no worries about lack of activity and enthusiasm for life. Foster mom says she loves to do "dog work" with the resident dogs; like running to the storm door to see and bark at anyone in the cul de sac, or running the fence line to protect foster mom from bike riders, walkers and other dogs on a stroll with their owners. Penny doesn't bark a lot, just when she's on the job! Penny LOVES her people and is a total lap dog. She likes to burrow under a blanket at nap time. She walks well on leash, and is a great passenger on car rides. She gets along with the other dogs and cats at her foster home, but she will do just fine as an only dog too. We thinks he will be fine with kids over the age of 10. The first step to meeting Penny is to submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Additional adoption info
All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats
Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs
The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
