My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Your New Best Friend!

Handsome Thor is an 8-year-old mixed breed who deserves a life full of adventure and companionship.

Health and Background:
Thor is a healthy and resilient pup, having fully recovered from a TPLO surgery on his back left knee in 2020. Since then, he’s been in perfect health and ready to take on any hiking trail or camping trip you throw his way.

Personality and Training:
Thor is an intelligent and well-trained dog who knows what is his and what isn’t, making him trustworthy to be home alone without supervision. He is calm with loud noises and fireworks, and only barks when someone knocks on the door. When guests arrive, Thor gets excited but won’t jump on them, instead fetching a toy on command.

Socialization and Behavior:
Thor has been well-socialized and has done great with other dogs in the past, though it’s been a couple of years since his last playdate. He’s a loyal family dog who loves when all his people are together. He’s fantastic on leash, responding to commands to either walk by your side or explore and sniff his surroundings.

Ideal Home:
Thor would make a perfect addition to an active household that enjoys outdoor activities. He’s great off-leash, though he can get distracted by other dogs nearby. He would thrive in a home where he can go on regular hikes, camping trips, and enjoy a yard to play in. Thor is a loyal and loving companion, always ready for the next adventure and eager to be part of a family.

If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, and adventurous buddy, Thor is your dog! Give him the life he deserves and gain a faithful friend in the process. Contact Kelly to meet Thor and see if he’s the perfect fit for your family. EMAIL BICKLEKT@GMAIL.COM

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

At Valley Dogs we make every effort to place the right animal in the right home. To aid in this goal, we use trained Adoption Consultants to help you select the best match for your lifestyle. You will meet with an Adoption Consultant and discuss your lifestyle, activity level, expectations, likes/dislikes, and past experiences with animals. Your consultant will then recommend the best match for your family and your lifestyle.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We do not own a kennel / shelter type facility. In most cases, we believe one of the effective and successful ways to match families and pets is to foster them in our own homes. Fostering dogs allows us to help train the dogs to have good doggie manners and allows us to learn about the dog's personality and character. Ultimately allowing us to give potential adopters complete information on the pet's behavior and how well he / she will fit with a family and lifestyle. Unfortunately, when we are not able to find the most appropriate foster home, we will on occasion utilize a private kennel on a case by case basis.
