For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Maggie!
This tiny girl is 27 lbs of love and joy! Maggie was found on the streets of South Texas covered in mange, without hair. She never let neglect slow her down and has been happy ever since she was rescued! Maggie is very beagle-y in appearance, but with all black hair. She is still growing some hair in some spots. Maggie doesn't bay, but she whines out of happiness. She has a stuffie that she loves to carry around. Maggie is potty trained and crate trained, although sometimes she cries whenever her foster mom leaves. Maggie is very needy and seeks approval from her owner to help build her confidence. She would seek affection 100% of the time if it were up to her! Maggie does fine with the other dogs in her foster home, but she isn't big on playing. The vet thinks she's about 3, she enjoys other adults dogs. Maggie is quite energetic, but burns a lot of her energy off just running around happily. Maggie is going through heartworm treatment, which she is getting close to finishing. If you're looking for an over the top sweet dog, Maggie is your girl! She can't wait for her new forever home.
Spay, her current medical, current vaccines, and microchip all included in her adoption fee. Please start with the adoption application: freedomboundhounds.com/adopt
