Hi there, I'm Thrasher, and let me tell you my story. I was one of ten puppies in a home bursting at the seams. There were just too many of us, and my previous owners couldn't afford to feed us all. Food was scarce, and sadly, we lost one of my siblings just the day before we were scheduled to come to PPFT. My former owners think it happened because he couldn't get enough food and was always pushed out during mealtime. It was a tough time for all of us. When we arrived at PPFT, we were in pretty rough shape—dehydrated, full of parasites, skinny, and just not doing well. But thanks to the amazing people here, we've all bounced back to being healthy and happy puppies. It's incredible how much love and care can turn things around! Now, I'm ready to find my forever home. I'm excited and hopeful, looking for a place where I can bring joy, laughter, and endless tail-wagging happiness.
I'm a 14-week-old, 20-pound bundle of joy and fluff, and I'm a Great Pyrenees mix. Now, Great Pyrenees are known for being gentle giants, which means I'm destined to grow into a big, fluffy teddy bear. As far as what else am I mixed with? Well, that's anyone's guess! Maybe a sprinkle of Labrador, a dash of Golden Retriever, or even a pinch of Collie—who knows? It’s part of my charm, really. Speaking of charm, have you seen my fluff? I'm like a walking, wagging cloud. Yes, I shed—think of it as leaving little pieces of me wherever I go. Speaking of fluff, let's talk about my shedding. I'm going to be one of those dogs that leaves a little bit of myself everywhere I go. Your black pants will never be the same, but on the plus side, you'll always have a piece of me with you! Just think of it as confetti from the party that is me. As for my size, I'm going to be big—like, really big. Think of me as your future oversized lap dog. I'll be perfect for those days when you just need a giant, furry hug. And with my size comes all the fun things you can do with a bigger dog. We can go on adventures, or I can simply be your big, cuddly couch companion.
When it comes to other dogs, I'm the cool kid on the block. Friendly? Absolutely. But I'm not the type to be all up in their business. I like to do my own thing, maybe sniff around, check out a good stick, you know, the usual. So, if you've got other dogs, great! If not, that's cool too. I’m an independent adventurer. Cats? Oh boy, I haven't met one yet, but I bet I'd make a great feline babysitter. I imagine myself as the big, fluffy overseer, making sure those sneaky cats stay out of trouble. Plus, think of the adorable Instagram moments—me and a cat, just chilling together. Kids are my jam. I'm super calm and gentle with them. When your kids approach me and pick me up, I just go with the flow. No fuss, no muss. I mean, who wouldn’t love a big, fluffy dog that’s basically a giant teddy bear? When it comes to meeting new people, I’m neither a social butterfly nor a wallflower. I don’t rush to greet folks, but I’m perfectly fine if they come to me. No barking or jumping here—just a polite sniff and maybe a wag. So, whether your home is a bustling zoo with kids and pets or a quiet retreat, I’m your guy.
I think I’d lean more towards a quieter lifestyle. I’m all about spending quality time with my family and watching over things. I might not be the life of the party, but I’ll be the calm, comforting presence you need. Think of me as your fluffy zen master. Hiking? Maybe. I haven’t tried it yet, but if it means I get to tag along with you, I’m game. I’ll be your fluffy sidekick, ready to tackle any trail—okay, maybe more like gently stroll it. Fetch? Pfft, who needs fetch when you can just watch your humans fetch things for you? I haven’t really gotten into the whole fetch thing yet, but hey, there’s always room for growth. Toys? Haven’t really figured those out either. I’m still learning that it’s okay to let my inner puppy out and have some fun. Right now, I’m more into being a professional napper and observer. Energy level? I’m the Zen master of puppies—calm and quiet. I’m like the Dalai Lama of the dog world, bringing peace and tranquility wherever I go. If you need a low-key buddy who’s content to just be by your side, I’m your guy.
Am I fully trained? Not quite yet. But hey, I've got amazing instincts about going potty outside. It's like I've got a built-in GPS for the grass! With a little more guidance and a few more treats, I'll be hitting potty training milestones like a pro. As for kennel training, I actually quite like my kennel, especially when it’s decked out with a thick, comfy comforter. When no one’s home, I hang out in a puppy pen area in the sunroom. It’s like my own little puppy palace with plenty of room to stretch out and lounge. Plus, the sunroom gives me a great view of the outside world, so I can keep an eye on things and daydream about future adventures.
