My name is Lucy (Foster PR)!

April 2024 Found abandoned at house near a SAFPR volunteer's home.

On May 4th we were alerted to a mama dog who had her puppies in the tall grass next to the ocean. A storm was coming so we knew we had to act quickly. Mama (now Lucy) was nervous letting us take the pups but somehow she knew it was going to be alright. Tomorrow they turn three (May 23, 2024) weeks old and are growing up so fast! They are walking now and Lucy is just the greatest mama! The babies will be ready for their new homes in 6 weeks (early July). Lucy tested positive for Heartworm unfortunately but we will treat her and prepare her for her new home.
