Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Suki, your manic pixie dream cat! Suki is a Greenpoint girl and was trapped causing ruckus in and around a tinned fish factory. It takes a lot to make a factory man nervous, but Suki said “challenge accepted watch me climb to the top of your roof!”
Suki embraced indoor life with ease but is still a wild child at heart. She spent the first weeks in foster learning some manners and has calmed down quite a bit. Still a high energy cat, Suki loves explosive play like games of chase and catnip toys. She especially loves toys she can activate and play with herself, because she learned sometimes humans are too busy to play. All that play does tire her out eventually though and she enjoys sleeping in sunny windows and making biscuits on soft blankets.
Suki will do best in a home with at least one other cat and maybe even a dog. She is currently living with her foster brother Mole, and they balance each other out well. She would love to go home with Mole, but will be happy as long as she has a playmate.

After choosing a cat we have an application for the adopter to fill out. When your application is approved we deliver to your home.
2.
Home Check
We only adopt to homes in the NYC area. Young kittens must be adopted with another cat or kitten if the home doesn’t have another pet.

Additional adoption info
Cat and kitten adoptions require a $150.00 donation, which helps us cover the costs of delivering them already spayed/neutered, tested for felv/fiv, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any health problems we were aware of. We generally require that kittens under five months of age be adopted in two's unless you already have another pet. Adoptions require an application that asks for two references and a contract. We arrange for delivery of your new cat to your home, generally within a few days of getting your application. We are happy to help should you need advice or assistance with your new companion before or after the adoption.

More about this rescue
North Brooklyn Cats specializes in taking in orphaned "bottle-babies" from other rescues and from the streets of our neighborhood. These tiny kittens require round-the-clock care and often don't do well in a shelter environment. We also rescue cats and kittens from the NYC kill shelters. Trap-Neuter-Release, TNR, is also a big part of what we do. The friendly straycats and kittens that are often found on the streets also become candidates for adoption. We have many years experience volunteering and working for shelters and rescue organizations in New York City.
