Uci means "loud" in Punjabi which is fitting since this long handsome boy tells you many sad stories about his former street cat life all throughout the day, holding up to his Siamese genetics. He is extremely friendly and visited everyone on the street prior to being brought inside. His foster parents call him Noodle because he not only loves spaghetti (discovered by default) but is pure liquid when picked up and stretches out to be the longest boy on the block. He is very soft, sweet and loves affection and will be very upset if locked out of a room you are very obviously in. His foster parents are considering keeping him if he and their older male cat get along but are currently not great friends as Uci is showing some aggression towards his older housemate (13). No aggression has been shown to humans though. He is warming up to the younger female cat (same age as Uci) in the house and they often play and chase each other around for short bursts of time. Whoever this blue-eyed boy decides to call his family should keep in mind that he will likely do best on his own, or with a younger playful kitty. He may warm up to any cat but will require some patience to allow a natural bond to form. Be warned, he may fall asleep in your arms if found to be too cozy, or be distracted by a bird in the window and leave you wanting more cuddles. Meow profile: Single, 1.5-2 year old male, neutered (June 17 th ), lynx point Siamese, snow shoe, pink toe beans, slender, extremely long and extremely handsome. Former Education: Litter box trained Gravity analyst Parkour and bunny kicking Nip enthusiast and foodie Storyteller/judge Loud purr-er Loafing and hard napping Cuddler on own terms Hobbies: - Would die for food and will eat anything from forbidden kibble (in the middle of the night behind closed doors) to cooked noodles. Warning: cat food requires ninja level hiding skills. Does not appear to eat things not intended to be eaten. Future warning: do not free feed as he will most definitely become overweight and will eat everything. Watching his weight will be important especially after neutering him in addition to his Siamese talking points which may deceive you into thinking he is starving. - Loves discovering new toys his foster parents' thought were lost forever and then bunny kicking them - adding nip to these is a true investment. - He is also very inquisitive and jumps into an empty bathtub and every open drawer or closet. - Loafing in the sun on a bed or in planters outside (back in his street days before being caught). - Loves tossing everything off anything high, just to see what happens. Will it break? Probably. Warning: do not place glass objects on the kitchen counters. - Being tossed over a shoulder and hanging out there while his foster mom does house chores, and judging the other cats as he walks by. Likes: - Being the only guy around or a younger cat to play with - All toys, tunnels and scratching posts - Snuggling on his own terms - Butt scratches - Licking his foster mom - Hanging over shoulders and being carried around the house - A clean litter box - Singing with occasional yelling - Stretching those limbs out in portrayal of a spaghetti noodle - Does not seem bothered by dogs
Dislikes: - Older male cats (hisses and swats prior to neutering but this may not change even after neutering) - Rough housing with humans (prefers a softer approach) - Being alone - Eyedrops - Spray bottles - Vacuum cleaners Needs further training: - Garbage diving - Counter surfing - Licking dishes in the sink - Eating at a slower pace Medical - Dewormed and fully vaccinated - FIV and FeLV negative - History of squinting - since resolved with optimmune eye drops, thought to be dry eyes due to being blue eyed, outside and in the sun all day - Small skin lump on right hind leg - not yet examined but thought to be scar tissue - 1 or 2 incisors may require dental work in the future but his teeth look good for now

More about this rescue
Since 1996 SCAT Street Cat Rescue's prime focus has been feral cats because of the limited options available for them. TNR is a successful option instead of the traditional trap and kill. The majority of the cats rescued by SCAT, however, are socialized and available for adoption. As the city grows, so to does the need for our services. Adopt, Donate, Volunteer, TODAY!
