Hiiiiiiiiii! Virgil may be my name but "absolutelypreciousadorablehandsomecutiepiepants" is more fitting. I am a sweet guy looking for a home to call my own. I was a stray that came in from animal control so the humans don't know much about my history before I arrived, but I've warmed up so much and enjoy getting loved on! I am pretty silly and like to play in the yards, too. I am a smart boy and would love to learn more manners and tricks in my forever home! I haven't been around other dogs here yet, but would be open to a meet & greet with your pup if you have one at home! The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
