My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Email for details:
Tammy is available for adoption in a foster home. If you're interested in adopting, please email us at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Tammy! One ear up and one ear down. Eyes that are softly saying "will you take me home". A nose made for giving doggie kisses. Tammy is irresistible. And, that is not all. She is housebroken. She knows how to use a doggie door. She does fine with another dog.. She likes to be cuddled and will give you a paw to tell you it is time for a belly rub. She does great on a leash being walked. She does not like loud noises, but who does? Tammy has it all except humans that love her, a home with preferably safe indoor and outdoor spaces, toys, treats, places to cuddle with you and where she can be happy and healthy. Sound like your place? If so, come and ask an adoption counselor to meet one of the cutest dogs known to mankind who could be your dog. Bring a leash. You will be glad that you did.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
