Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Chevy is just another statistic in the puppy boom/crash that is happening right now. Breeders have saturated the market & now puppies are finding themselves homeless. Chevy will never have to worry; he is a Gateway dog & we will keep him safe until he makes a connection with his forever family.
We like to remind applicants that a new puppy is a lot like a toddler. They need to be supervised, and the best way to do that is to have a dedicated space set up for them. This area will be a part of the home where they can see activity & observe, but it is a place that is puppy proofed. Where they can play, lounge, or nap when their family is not directly engaging with them. Playpens, 4-squares, or x-pens are excellent tools to make this possible. They are easily mobile if you want to move them around, too.
Chevy is working on leash training, but he is not 100% yet so he will need a safe place to do his business. If you have a fence, it needs to be completely secure & enclosed, no gaps. An x-pen will work great if you do not have a physical fenced yard. NEVER EVER should a puppy be left in a yard without supervision. If you have interior stairs, please have a plan to keep your puppy off the stairs unsupervised. Additionally, please be aware of the stair railing & the distance between the spindles.
We are working on potty training. It is a process that will require commitment & patience, as puppies have a little puppy bladder. Remember, in a new home, a new environment means that new habits will have to be established.
Bringing home a new puppy is a huge responsibility that requires oodles of time! But it is very rewarding if everyone is invested. Please apply if you meet the requirements & would like to adopt a sweet little puppy. Please don’t apply without speaking to your spouse/partner first.
