My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Katara and brother Sokka were found playing in the street. A good Samaritan picked them up. They were little babies at 5 and 6 pounds. Foster mommy got them all fixed up.

Katara was a little shy at first needing some time to warm up. Katara is beautiful with ice blue eye. Foster mommy can't say if they are pure bred husky or not but she can assure you they both have husky behaviors.

Katara can sing the song of her people, she loves to climb out of her puppy pen... and climb back in. WATER...she loves water. She will gladly take a swim in the water bowl. Katara is ready to have her own family but just be ready for husky Shenanigans!

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted.

So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
