My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS****

And they call it Puppy Love……. Meet May, she is very sweet, and almost ready for her forever family. She will be available for adoption around July 8, 2024.

May is one of 3 Maltese mix puppies and is very lucky. They were found in an alley with their momma when they were maybe 10 days old, rescued and lovingly cared for in their fabulous foster home!

May is black and white and has little freckles on her sweet face!

Momma is an all-white Maltese and 12 pounds, since we don’t know who daddy is, we anticipate May will be between 10-18 pounds once grown. Remember puppies are a big commitment, lots of training and love! Most dogs this size live 15-20 years, so it’s a lifetime commitment of love for them.

Who loves Puppy Breath!! Are you ready to kiss May If so let us know at: malteserescuecalifornia.org

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Every rescue dog is examined by a veterinarian, neutered or spayed if intact, vaccines provided, a microchip inserted, and dental care provided, if needed. All Maltese Rescue dogs are provided loving care in preapproved foster homes to help the rescue dog with socialization and training.
When a rescue Maltese is ready adoption, each dog is listed on www.petfinder.com and www.adopt-a-pet.com

Prospective adoptive persons are required to submit an adoption application, undergo a personal interview, supply references, and complete a home evaluation to determine if the home provides a safe environment for a Maltese prior to approving an adoption.

An adoption fee is paid at the time of adoption. Adoption fees and donations are the sole financial source for payment of medical care for all of our rescue dogs.
