Meet Tiny, an American Pit Bull mix picked up by one of our officers on 6/17 and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. She is about 7 years old, weighs 46 pounds and is spayed. Tiny looks like she has lived the life of an outdoor dog with a scruffy coat, dry skin, and some hair loss on her elbows and other parts of her body. She walks well on a leash, knows the sit command and will do so for treats which she takes nicely. She is playful and plays with toys and balls. She is lively, but not hyper. She does not jump on you. She loves belly rubs and petting. She found the soft comfy doggy bed in the room in which her eval was done and she snuggled down and enjoyed the comfort. Tiny seems sad to me. I wonder what kind of life this senior girl has lived and why her people have apparently opted to not come looking for her. Do you have room in your heart and home for Tiny? Her fondest dream is to live in comfort in the home of a person or family who will give her lots of TLC, a soft doggy bed, healthy food, yummy snacks, and some toys and balls to play with. She is an easy-going girl who doesn't ask for much, but just wants to be loved.
