Meet Copper! He is an 1 year old Aussie Doodle and weighs 40 lbs. He isn’t neutered, up to date on shots, or on heartworm prevention. Cooper is nervous around strangers and prefers females! He is good with older children! He hasn’t been tested around cats or dogs. No younger children or pet ducks, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. He would thrive with some training and a fenced-in yard!
Copper bit the owner’s 9 year old son on his right hand while they were in the child’s room. The owner is surrendering him because their house provides too much stimulation for Copper (6 kids and one on the way) and he has a hard time relaxing. The owner says he would benefit from a fenced-in with less people in the household or a single owner. He needs to go by 6/23!
If you think you can provide a great home for Copper, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Copper.

More about this rescue
Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 82,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
