My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goose II is a sweet, silly, snuggly, and adventurous boy who just wants to be your best friend. He is a 4-year-old, 80-pound truly-mixed breed that looks like he has some great dane, lab, retriever, and hound. Goose has the most beautiful brindle coat and white belly. He seems to stare straight into your soul with his sweet brown eyes. He has the biggest heart, the hungriest belly, and the floppiest ears. Goose is up to date on his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. We found Goose at the shelter when he was a mangy, scrawny, and sad little stray but he has grown to be a strong healthy and beautiful boy. Goose is tenderhearted, very playful, sensitive, and loyal. He loves to chase the ball and go on walks He is very treat-motivated and is great at following simple commands, even better if you have something edible in your hand. Goose is not comfortable around other dogs or small children. He would be best in a home without other pets or children. Goose is a large boy who has enjoyed having access to a yard and regular walks. He is used to having owners who work outside the house and is comfortable spending time at home alone. Goose's favorite thing to do is pretend he is a lap dog and sit with us on the couch watching TV. Goose is housebroken and used to walking on a leash. He does not destroy things in the house when we are away and has never been in a crate. He knows sit, stay, lay down, and settle and if you say the word walk his eyes will triple in size. We are sadly having to find him a new home after having our daughter. We hoped Goose would adjust to our little one, but after a year of working with him, we can tell he is still uncomfortable and think he would be happier and safer in a home with no young children. We love him so much and hope he is able to find a home with people who love him as much as we do. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Goose II, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
