Meet Sissy, a delightful 9-year-old with a heart as big as her 90-pound frame. Sissy's foster parents recently had a DNA test done, and it turns out she's not an Anatolian Shepherd mix after all. She is still a proud member of the Guardian Breed family, but she is 66.5% Great Pyrenees and 33.5% Sarplaninac (we had to look that one up!).
This resilient girl may only have three legs, but she moves around with grace and ease, preferring homes with limited stairs. Despite her past challenges, Sissy’s spirit remains unbroken, and she has blossomed in her foster home, thriving alongside fellow senior dogs in peaceful coexistence.
Sissy is the epitome of a sweetheart, exuding calmness and affection. She is house and crate trained, though she's still mastering the command for going to her crate. While she hasn’t been around children in our care, her gentle nature suggests she would do well with older, calmer kids who can respect her desire for a quiet, serene environment.
This loving tri-pod adores being around her humans, whether it’s to share a moment of companionship or simply to find a cozy spot for a nap. Sissy is looking for a forever home where she can enjoy her golden years in tranquility, surrounded by love. If you’re searching for a sweet, chill companion who will warm your heart every day, Sissy is the perfect match for you. Her minimum adoption fee is $195 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
