My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Johnny is a kitten we got from one of our vet partners when a client found him and could not keep him. Johnny is the sweetest and friendliest little dude with just a dash of sass. He is a typical ginger kitty who likes to play and be the center of attention. He is a goofy guy who keeps everyone laughing. Johnny is litter box trained and gets along well with other cats. He is still a little unsure of dogs, but due to his young age he would learn quickly that dogs are his friends too. He does like to play and wrestle so another cat who likes this would be best or he has a friend named Muffin that would love to be adopted with him. They say two kitties are better than one. Johnny is an indoor kitty only and we do not allow declawing on our adoptable kitties. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041 We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond. Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you.June 30, 2024, 7:49 pm

More about this rescue

Rosalie and Friends was created out of the President's dedication to help the under dogs and cats. She has taken in and rehabilitated the sick and injured for years. Late 2022 a well respected animal 501c3, Friends of the Escambia County Animal Shelter, dissolved and turned the organization over to Rosalie and Friends. We have assumed responsibility of several programs from them, to include sponsorship for heartworm treatment of animals adopted through the shelter. We also provide medical assistance for shelter animals and have a fospice program to get senior pets from the shelter and into loving homes through end of life. Our logo is "Fospice and fixer uppers" but that has not stopped us from helping others that cross our paths.
