Pinecone. Pineapple. Happy. Puppy. Fireball (courtesy of the 5-year-old). This 1-year-old chihuahua/doxie (best guess anyway) has many names but no home...yet! We know she'll get adopted quickly because she's about the sweetest little dog you'll ever meet. Although she weighs a whopping 10 pounds at 1-year-of age, this pup is tiny but mighty! Don't underestimate her activity level because of her size as she's always ready to play and expects and loves daily walks. Right now she gets tired after a mile but the longer she's at her foster home the stronger she gets! Puppy kisses and snuggles are also one of her favorite things to do. She also enjoys being carried around. Pinecone is great with kids of all ages. She's used to kids running over to her at the playground and petting her and she loves the attention. She does have sharp puppy teeth and is still doing the puppy biting hands thing to play but we are working on this. Expect to have a basket (or two) full of chew toys and squeaky stuffed animals because she is a toy aficionado and it feels good on her gums to chew. She bonds especially hard with one personbut has been good with everyone (occasionally shy with men but will warm up quickly). Housetraining is still a work in progress... keep in mind small dogs can take awhile to housetrain! She's used to being crated when left alone. She's great with the foster cats but does like to chase them....seeing as they outweigh her though a simple hiss or two will generally stop her from a game of tag.

What does Pinecone's ideal home look like? She would love to have another playful active dog around because holy buckets she is active! Kids would be a bonus but not necessary. This pup is truly magnificent.

Requirements: No special requirements

Adoption Fee: $600 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives.
