Hi I’m Glimmer, a dazzling shadow with a heart full of courage and love. Like my namesake from She Ra Princess of Power, I have sparkle and strength. I love to play and do backflips for a feather wand. I can hold my own in any sibling skirmish, but when the adventure is over, I transform into a princess of purrs, ready to melt your heart with the softest rumbles known to the feline kingdom. And get this – when I sprawl out for a sunbeam nap, my sleek black fur reveals a secret: a dazzling display of dark tabby stripes and spots on my belly! I like to sleep belly-up, completely trusting and at ease. Sometimes, I even sleep on my foster person’s neck or in their arms like a teddy bear. I will purr my way into your heart and happily claim your lap as my throne.
I have impressed my people with my confidence and boundless curiosity. Before long even an unfamiliar territory becomes a part of my kingdom. I have experience with dogs, other cats, and I’ve even learned to ride in the car!
While I am clearly a gem on my own, kittens like myself really shine when they have a sidekick. So I need a friendly resident cat to play with, or (even better) to bring one of my siblings with me! My siblings are Beau, Adora, and Catra. With a buddy I will never be lonely and always have someone to have my back. We are honestly all the purrfect package of playful energy and snuggle-loving magic. I am litter box trained, vaccinated, fixed, vetted, tested, and ready to bring a little She-Ra sparkle into your life!We only adopt to people in the St. Louis METRO area. More about this rescue
St. Louis Pet Rescue is a non-profit rescue group focusing on saving pets from local animal control facilities and other neglect situations.
We do not have a facility. All of the pets we rescue are in loving foster homes. Foster homes provide love, care training, and, if needed, rehabilitation to the pets. This also allows the pet to be more adjusted when they enter their forever home since they are used to a home environment (versus a kennel at the pound).
