This adorable little girl is MISS MAE. While we are listing her as a Long Haired Doxy mix, we really aren't sure. She could also have some Cocker in her and/or Cavalier. But whatever she is mixed with this, MISS MAE needs a home with a family to love her and let her know she will always be cherished. She is between 1-2 years old. We don't know her history, but she was running in Adena for a couple of weeks before coming to our pound. She was timid and skittish and wouldn't let anyone near her until a little girl earned her trust and MISS MAE allowed herself to be caught. MISS MAE is still frightened, but she is coming around slowly. She now greets us in the morning at the front of her kennel and rolls over for a belly rub or chin scratch. She is less than 20 lbs and fits perfectly in a lap. We don't know how she will do with other dogs or cats, but we do know she likes kids. MISS MAE needs time, patience and love so that she decompress and then flourish. A home that is not chaotic would most likely be best for this sweet girl.
