Athena Adoption Bio:

Health:
Athena is a 1 yr old Black and Red Female German Shepherd. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick, heartworm prevention and she is microchipped.
Rescue & Behavior:
Athena was Rescued out of a small rural overcrowded Shelter, she was an owner surrender reasons were not stated on the Shelter's surrender intake form.
Athena has the best personality, she is sweet, loving and fun. Athena will need a patient, kind, caring family or individual that can give her structure, excercise and emotional support. Athena was displaying anxiety when she first arrived in Rescue she would bark and pace when put in a crate. Athena has settled down and no longer does that behavior once routine has been established. She is super smart and wants to please. She is lapdog lover that also likes to play fetch. She is good on a leash and loves to meet new people.
Athena is good around other dogs but she needs time to get used to a new dog. Cats she will chase but with training implemented I am sure she will be able to adjust to resident cats she would need someone experienced with proper cat/dog introductions. We have not kid tested her yet but she is puppy mouthy so older mature children would be a better match for her.

All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, spayed and or neutered. Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior to final adoption.
