Meet Roxy, your future best friend! I'm a fun and goofy gal who knows how to bring joy to any home. Whether I'm playing with my foster brother or entertaining myself with a favorite toy, I'm always up for some fun. Despite my bursts of energy, I'm also perfectly happy to chill out and nap while you go about your day. I also do well in my kennel when my foster parents are at work.

One of my favorite things in the world is cuddling up with my humans. I'm a huge love bug and nothing makes me happier than receiving affection and belly rubs. Once I get to know you, I'll be your loyal companion for life. While I may be a bit cautious around new people entering my home, once I see that you trust them, I'll trust them too. If you're looking for a furry friend who will keep you laughing with my playful antics and warm your heart with my endless love, then I'm the dog for you!

All of our animals are fixed, microchipped, started on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, and on a flea/tick and heart worm preventative prior to adoption. Please note that all of our animals are in foster homes, and you must have an approved application to meet any of them unless at a scheduled meet and greet event. More about this rescue

Almost Home Canine Rescue (AHCR) was founded in Madison, SD. In Early 2018, the group was reestablished in the Sioux Falls, SD area by a group of passionate animal lovers. While we are now based in Sioux Falls, we continue to have a large presence in Madison through community events and assisting the Madison Animal Shelter. Our continued presence will not only fulfill our mission, but also assist in reducing the overpopulation of animals in our area and the surrounding communities. Controlling overpopulation is the foundation in which our organization was established on.

AHCR is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is 100% volunteer-run and serves to help abandoned animals find new homes. All of our adoptable animals are in foster homes (we do not have a building or a shelter.) Please complete the application process in order to meet one of our animals.
