My name is Jake, and I am a man’s boy. I am 7 ½ yrs young, a neutered handsome 38 lb orange/white well-behaved boy. Housebroken, crate trained (thou I don’t need one), healthy, utd on all my vaccines. HW and Tick neg and on prevention.
I would do my best as an only dog, and really just want to be your buddy and hang out together. I have done well lately with other dogs, but I did have a problem in the beginning of my first foster home. I have played in day care, got loose and hung out at a house with at least 6 kids and 2 pitties and a small terrier, but I really just want to be yours alone and be rotten spoiled.
I do need a physical fence, since I like to hunt. if you have a hole somewhere in that fence on the bottom, I will go hunting. I know my name. I love to swim. I really am the best Brittany boy you will ever find. Love going in the car and riding around as your side kick.
From Foster Dad:
Jake’s new family will truly be blessed. I'm reading and he jumps on the couch, and immediately moves into position, crawls in my lap and flips over for belly rubs. He'll stay as long as you rub on him... Whoever takes Jake needs to know his requirements, ie... he goes to breakfast with you, and really likes dry toast (no butter), and ham! Jake is as good of a Brittany as you could ever own, and I've owned 5...he is beautiful, healthy, very smart, house broken, loving, non-destructive..... Actually don't know a lot of spouses that fit this bill! We have seen him with multiple small children, several breeds of dogs, and he likes Me! His hair does not hold dirt, and he sleeps in a kennel at night...he'd love to sleep with you even more!!! I know he would prefer to be in bed and snuggled. He has all his shots and even my vet tried to convince me to keep him. We are just gone too much... He is not a big barker! He sits and stays on command....my wife won't do that... He is a hunting dog by breed, so he needs some exercise each day....but so do all of us!!! If you don't have a good fence, he will get out, but he did come back ...one of two times. In short, he is a dog, but one you can love on and you will see a dog who will love you even harder! I’ve never seen him climb a fence....but if there's a hole, he'll find it!
