GOOD WITH CATS: Mostly - she ignores cats for the most part, but can be reactive if swatted so we would not leave her unsupervised with a cat
PREFERRED CONTACT METHOD & INFO: email -  ali.mentana@gmail.com
OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE DOG: Chloe is so sweet and cuddly, but she is also a bit nervous/insecure. She needs a home that can be firm but gentle with her when it comes to training. She does great with dogs of all sizes after a proper introduction, and loves everyone she meets after a proper introduction as well - the caveat there being that she can be very protective of her home and untrusting of new people when they first come in. We have found that Chloe does well meeting new people outside on a leash and then coming inside the house together. She does have some storm phobia, which translates to anxiety around other loud noises as well (fireworks, construction, etc) which she usually reacts to by hiding in a corner until the scary sounds cease. She is on Prozac daily, which helps with her anxiety. She is very smart and treat-motivated, and has shown no destructive tendencies in the home.

To Do All We Can to Aid in the Rescue, Safety and Welfare of Stray and Abandoned Animals to end as much suffering as possible.

We realize we cannot save the world … but we can try by working with each rescued animal on an individual basis.

Go meet their pets

Because we are not a shelter, do not have a boarding facility, and are not connected with any other agency, we always welcome foster homes where animals can stay temporarily. We also welcome all tax-deductible donations from individuals or foundations.
No donation is too small.

More about this rescue

A Welcome Home Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit created to help the homeless, hurt and/or abandoned animals. Our end goal is to place each animal in a permanent, loving home where all their needs will be met. We believe every animal deserves humane treatment. We believe in our role as caretakers, protecting those who cannot defend themselves, speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.
