My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Candy is a sweet two year old Calico who was abandoned and later found as a stray very pregnant. She is a wonderful mother to six adorable kittens that she loves dearly. While her kittens are finding homes, she deserves a safe quiet home of her own.

Candy enjoys being loved on, laying around and getting chin scratchies! She loves pets so much she might even ask for more! Candy’s a caring, smart, sweet, quiet and independent girl who won’t cause trouble.

Her ideal home is one that’s more quiet, but she’s good with dogs. Candy may take a little time to get comfortable, so someone who is patient and understanding will be her perfect match. But when she gets there it will be all worth the wait!

Submit Application

Once you submit an application, one of our dedicated adoption volunteer coordinators will contact you.

2.
Meet the Pet

Some of our kitties are in foster homes and about 40 are at our shelter. So be patient! We may have to schedule a visit at a foster home.

3.
Approve Application

The volunteer adoption coordinator will call your veterinary reference and your personal references. Video home visit too!

At any given time, Ferndale Cat Shelter has at least 150-250 cats and kittens in our care. Most of those kitties are in foster homes while 40-50 may be at our shelter. We love to make the purrfect match for you so you and your kitty will live long and healthy lives together.
