Meet Bon Jovi! This calm, distinguished gentleman is looking for a home that will share his appreciation for a relaxed lifestyle. Jovi is a little shy at first, but underneath his initial reserve you'll discover a down-to-earth, gentle soul with lots of love to give. Once he's comfortable, he shows his affection by following his favorite people around the house and sticking close by. Jovi will even come when called (especially for treats)!
Jovi's favorite activities include sleeping, looking out of windows, and occasionally playing with his favorite ribbon. Always sociable, he doesn't mind being picked up, likes sitting on laps, and enjoys being petted. Ears, scruff, and chest scratches are always welcome! Jovi also enjoys being brushed, but even more than that, Jovi loves food!
If he could talk, Jovi would tell you that he loves relaxing even more than playing! Anytime is a good time to take it easy! If you're watching your favorite TV show, talking on the phone, or reading a book, Jovi will be napping close by.

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

All of our animals are in foster homes. To meet an animal please fill out our adoption application and we will get back to you to schedule a meet and greet if it seems it could be a good fit.

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.
Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
