Meet Sassy! She was surrendered to our rescue with her 2 sisters by a local family who could not afford to care for the mother dog and her puppies. Her mother is a husky mix and the family is not sure of the father. The puppies were born on March 9th and are very curious and playful! They currently live in foster care with many other dogs (medium to large) and older children and have done great with everyone. They are very smart and have started working on basic commands and potty training.
Husky and Aussies are high energy and sometimes vocal dogs. Please consider this before adopting.
Please note: This dog is a puppy and will require additional patience and training. Her adoptive family will also be responsible for completing her puppy vaccines as applicable and completing heartworm testing after the dog is 6 months old.
This dog will not be able to go to her new home until she is spayed (June 24th).
Microchipped, vaccinated and up to date on monthly preventatives.
Sassy -friendly personality and rambunctious -curious and intelligent -very active -silly and goofy -affectionate
Can be Cat tested upon request!

Submit Application
Once you find a pet you are interested in you contact the listed rescue and request an application.

Interview
Upon receiving your application, the rescue group will do a background check, verify references and do the interview(s) with you

Sign Adoption Contract
Each rescue group has its own contract and terms
4.
Pay Fee
Payment will be made directly to the rescues via their payment systems.
5.
Take the Pet Home
Lastly, the rescues will agree on a meeting place for you to pick up your new family member based on your location. This is the best part!

All our rescues work hard to find loving homes for the dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies that find their way into their care. These animals come from a wide variety of backgrounds and situations and all of them are looking for a forever home.
They will be completely vaccinated, vetted, neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. They are transported to you with our USDA licensed and certified transport – Rescue Riders LLC, “The most animal-friendly transport on the road.”
Their adoption fees vary but, in all cases, it covers the animals vetting, vaccinations, spay/neuter as well as their foster care, and their transportation to your area.

This means it is often not possible to meet these babies prior to their adoption however all of these rescues have been rehoming dogs to the North East for many years and are happy to offer you references who can fill you in on their experience and how well the process works.
There is generally a money-back guarantee and a mechanism for returning the dog to the rescue if needed. All these rescues then work to re-home the animal. None are returned to a shelter. We never leave a rescue behind!

Each rescue is independently run but realizing that there is strength in numbers, we have formed a cooperative to work together to place as many animals as possible.
Not only do the rescues save these animals and give them badly needed health care but they also work tirelessly in their home communities to help educate people regarding the importance of spay & neuter and how it reduces pet overpopulation.
