This charming 3-year-old black and white double coated dog has a loving personality and a zest for life that makes him a joy to be around. Klondike's favorite things include getting pets and going on walks, but what he loves most is showing off his intelligence. He's quick to sit and shake hands, especially when a treat is involved. Klondike is very well-behaved and eager to please his favorite human. However, being a young and active dog, he sometimes gets overly excited, resulting in jumping or pulling on the leash like a sled dog aiming to win the Iditarod.
Klondike has shown a high prey instinct, so it's best for him to be in a home without cats. He has kept his kennel clean with regular walks and is always willing to go in when asked. While he hasn't been tried in a crate, we believe he would adapt well to crate training. Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.
Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.
Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.
Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
