My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Opal and Onyx, the sweetest kitty sisters you'll ever have the luck to meet! These beautiful tuxedo cats, with their glossy black and white coats, are on the lookout for a loving forever family to call their own.

Opal, with her bright, inquisitive eyes, is the slightly more adventurous kitty of the two. She's generally the first to explore new places and greet visitors with her gentle purrs. She has a playful nature and affectionate personality, but can be a little shy when she is meeting new cats and dogs.

Onyx, with her sleek, shiny fur and soulful gaze, is the quieter, more contemplative sister. She loves nothing more than curling up in a cozy spot, and will purr when you pick her up. She is calm and loving, like her sister.

Together, Opal and Onyx are a perfect pair. They share a deep bond, and they are often snuggled together or grooming each other. Their companionship is heartwarming, and their love for each other is evident so we would love to adopt them out together.

These beautiful cats have so much love to give and are ready to bring lots of joy to an owener that will cherish them. If you're looking for a pair of sweet, beautiful, and loving kitty sisters to complete your home, Opal and Onyx are the perfect match.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat

More about this rescue

13th Street Cats is an all volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of feral and social cats and reducing the population by TNR – Trap, Neuter, Return in Santa Clara County. Kittens and cats that can be socialized are taken into foster care while waiting adoption. With a no kill philosophy, 13th St Cats is pleased to be able to rescue these homeless animals who might otherwise end up in a local kill shelter, helping to reduce euthanasia rates.
