Hi all! I came to the shelter with a buddy, we used to play together before he got adopted. I am so happy to meet new people and I can get jumpy at times, but am usually pretty gentle. I like running and checking out everyone and everything here at the shelter, you could call me curious. I just want to see everything and find where they hide the treats, I haven't found them yet but I'll keep looking. I will need some training, I can get very food motivated to the point I lose focus on people and will do anything to get into the food here at the shelter. I would probably do very well in a home with another dog and children over 6 years old. I have met some kids at the shelter and they get showered with kisses, I love everyone I have met here at the shelter. And since I like people I get to go on outings in the community, you may have even seen me at Harvest Fest this year. Once an application is approved, we ask potential adopters to come to the shelter to visit the pet or pets they are interested in. If it seems like a great fit, then we would have you fill out the Adoption Contract and provide you with the pet's medical chart, some of the food it is currently eating, and offer any advice we can on that individual cat or dog.

Our shelter is located at 1471, US Highway 20 West, Elizabeth, IL, 61028. Our hours are: Monday - Saturday, 10am to 3pm. We can provide by-appointment-only visits from 3pm to 5:30pm. We are closed on Sundays.
