Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Alder, a spirited husky puppy with a past full of challenges and a future brimming with promise. Abandoned in the woods with 9 other dogs, Alder has shown incredible resilience and bravery. Now, he's ready to find a loving home where he can truly thrive.
Alder is a curious, playful, and friendly pup who is learning every day what it means to be a cherished member of a family. Though he's still a bit wary of humans, his trust grows with each kind gesture. His journey from surviving to thriving is one that you can be a part of.
Why Alder Needs You:
- Attention and Training: Alder will require patience, consistent training, and lots of attention. He’s a smart cookie and eager to learn, so with the right guidance, he’ll flourish.
- Love and Socialization: He’s discovering the joys of playtime and companionship. Your love and positive reinforcement will help Alder become the confident and happy dog he’s meant to be.
- Husky Behavior: True to his breed, Alder is energetic, intelligent, and has a bit of a mischievous streak. He loves exploring, and he’ll keep you on your toes with his playful antics.
Alder’s Special Traits:
- Water Lover: Alder has a particular fondness for water. Whether it’s a splash in the pool or a romp through puddles, he’s happiest when he’s wet and wild.
- Vocal Performer: Alder has a talent for waking up the household with his husky “singing.” His morning serenades are sure to bring a smile to your face, even if it’s a bit earlier than you planned!
Alder is looking for a special family who can offer him the stability and love he’s never known. If you have the time, energy, and heart to give, Alder will reward you with endless affection and unforgettable adventures.
Ready to give Alder the forever home he deserves? Adopt this extraordinary husky puppy and watch him transform from a cautious survivor into a joyful, thriving companion.
The Fine Print:
- If you're interested in adopting Alder, please complete an adoption application on our website: https://www.wahkiakumanimals.org/adopt-a-pet
- We believe Alder is a full-bred Siberian Husky (DNA test pending). He has been vaccinated and has an appointment to be neutered in August, which is included in his adoption fee and which will be required as part of his adoption.
- We will be conducting meet & greets, interviews, reference checks and home visits before placing Alder for adoption. Please note this takes time, and we are all volunteers at this organization, so we appreciate your patience!
