My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We rescued Wanda from a local shelter. We aren't sure of her backstory but she seems to have been a loved, well-fed inside baby. She is good with the fosters dogs, cats and isn't bothered at all by their infant. She was a little nervous initially as many dogs would be straight out of the shelter, but she quickly settled in and showed her loving side to all. She loves toys, a soft bed and being by her people. Wanda is a little achy in her hips at times so the shelter age estimate of 4 is not right. She is probably closer to 7. Our vet gave her some meds to help. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. 16 lb. Housetrained if you know her signal to go out.

More about this rescue

Homeward Bound Pet Rescue was founded by a team of volunteers with many years of experience in pet rescue. With over 20,000 companion animals being euthanized each year in the Midlands of SC, our goal is to save as many as possible from this dreadful fate. Rescue is expensive, so your help is needed in order for us to save lives. Each pet receives prompt medical attention, is spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted into a loving home. Medical care is our main expense. We also must purchase microchips, heartworm and flea preventions, food and many other supplies. We are an ethical group of volunteers who promises to use every penny for the rescue, care and adoption of pets in need. All donations are tax deductible. No Paid Staff!! Click our PAYPAL link below or mail your check to PO Box 4335, Irmo, SC 29063 THANK YOU!!!
