Hey! My name is Cedar. I guess I was named after a tree because me and my siblings caused quite the commotion when we were found. Me, four of my siblings and our older brother were dumped in the woods around the corner from SFC. The Assistant Director of St. Francis and her daughter happened to see us in the ditch and stop to help us. A few of us new that they were there to save us but a couple of us more stubborn siblings ran into the woods. After they got 3 of us in the nice cool car, they took our big brother into the woods to try to find those of us that ran. After several minutes of trying and the assistant director having a pretty nasty allergic reaction, who knew she was allergic to trees...lol, they called for lots of help. This place is pretty amazing because within a few minutes there were so many people there to help. They spent several hours out there trying to get to find us, but me and my brother hid really well. It was getting so dark and our big brother, who had been protecting us while we were on our own, was just too tired to keep walking so they set a couple of big metal things with food in them down it the woods and left. We wondered all around the area and so many people spotted us but when they would come looking, we would hide the best we could. They kept putting some pretty good smelling food in the big metal things, but we were pretty scared of those things, so we stayed away. After several sleeps, we started to get tired and hungry and missed our siblings so one evening we decided to check out all of that yummy food they were leaving us and went in the big metal thing and couldn't get back out. Within a few minutes, those people we kept seeing were there and they took us to see our siblings. We were so scared but also so excited. We then knew that we were safe. Now we are all fully vetted and a few of my siblings have already been adopted. If you would like to meet me and maybe give me a chance, please apply at www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt.
