Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Chris is a low-energy, affectionate companion who thrives on being close to his people. He enjoys lounging in the sun, rolling in the grass, and occasionally getting the zoomies across the yard. While he’s happiest relaxing by your side or under your chair, he also appreciates daily opportunities to release energy with short runs or longer neighborhood walks.
Chris has been making progress adjusting to new environments and people, though he can be nervous and startles easily with sudden movements. He has a goofy, endearing side and loves being pet until he flops over, and he’s even learning to snuggle. His foster family has taught him how to navigate stairs and provided him with supportive feeding tools like a raised slow feeder to help manage his sensitive stomach and fast eating habits.
Chris has no food guarding tendencies and allows handling of every part of his body. However, he requires a consistent diet to prevent digestive upset and homemade treats when possible. While he enjoys car rides, he hesitates getting in and out of the vehicle and will need patience with this.
Pro’s:
Low-energy, laid-back temperament Affectionate and loves being near his people Excited about treats and chew toys No food guarding Fully handleable Challenges:
Not cat-friendly Startles easily with sudden movements Requires a strict diet due to digestive sensitivity Displays boundary reactivity (barking at people/things outside) Chews inappropriate items if left unattended Eats non-food items like acorns and poop Chris would do best with a patient, experienced adopter who can help him feel secure, continue his training, and provide appropriate outlets for his nervous energy. With time, consistency, and love, Chris has the potential to flourish as a loyal and loving companion.
