My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Heidi: The Energetic Cattle Dog with a Splash of Fun!

Introducing Heidi, a medium-sized cattle dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Heidi has proven to be a fantastic companion, especially for families with tweens-she's lived with them before and has been a success! She's also house-trained and can be trusted to free-roam when left alone, making her the perfect mix of independence and affection.

Heidi is highly food motivated, which makes her an excellent training partner. Whether it's mastering new tricks or just having fun, she's always ready for a challenge if there's a treat involved! When it's playtime, Heidi's favorite game is tug-of-war, and she'll even bring you her favorite stuffed toy when she wants some attention.

Heidi's leash manners are top-notch, and she's a star passenger in the car, making her an ideal companion for any adventure. But what truly sets Heidi apart is her love for water-she's our little fish! Heidi enjoys indoor swimming every week, and it's her favorite way to stay active and have fun.

If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and water-loving companion, Heidi is ready to dive into her new forever home. Are you ready to make a splash with Heidi?

I am an All-Star dog! My adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and I will go home with my very own no-pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get us off to a good start.

To learn more about me or to schedule an appointment to meet me, email info@ahconnects.org (please include your name and phone number), and the staff will be happy to help you! I hope to meet you soon!

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Ask fosters@ahconnects.org about fostering Heidi, while she waits for her forever home!
