This helps Second Chances Animal Rescue - VT transport with pet care costs.
*Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.*
Ethal is an approximately 5 year old female bulldog mix. Due to heartworms in the past (she is now negative) she is in congestive heart failure and looking for a hospice home. We have no idea of her future. She may live 5 months or 5 more years. She is on daily medicines which the rescue would provide the first month while she gets settled in. She is still active and loves to meet new people. She can get easily excited so she may not be the best for young kids. She does well with other dogs, but can be on the bossy side so would be better with a submissive dog who would let her boss them around. Her adoption fee has been lowered to just cover costs associated with transport.
Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what a puppy's adult size will be.
This dog is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Barton's Barkers transport services upon adoption. Their adoption fee is $200 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, microchip and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in White River Junction, VT because we transport our dogs to the area every 3rd week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.
