Meet Bunny!
Breed: Shepherd/Lab Mix
Estimated DOB: 12/15/23
Sex: Female, spayed
Weight: 40-45 lbs
Up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations
Things to Know About Bunny:
- Rescued from Mississippi with her siblings (the Spring Flings)
- Has adorable puppy eyes with a dark “eyeliner” look
- Bunny's curlicue tail curls up when she’s happy—a great indicator of her comfort level
- Greets you enthusiastically when you come home and loves snuggling on the couch; she shows her excitement with little jumps, especially in the mornings or when you've been away
- Bunny can be timid in new situations, but with patience and gentle encouragement, she warms up quickly and shows her sweet, affectionate side
- Though she hasn’t been around young kids much, she has done well with them at events and would likely be great with kids in a home
- A total lounger, Bunny loves squeaky toys and dog beds. She follows her humans around the house, always finding a cozy spot to relax, whether in a crate, on a bed, or in the sun
- Enjoys daily walks and has lots of energy
- Bunny is reserved in public, often hiding or sticking close to her handler. She hesitates to approach new people but will accept gentle pets
- Loves being outside, chewing bones, playing with squeaky toys, and interacting with other dogs
- Playful in spurts, especially in the morning, but mostly laid-back
- Knows basic commands like “sit” and “wait”
- Excellent in a crate—goes in easily, naps during the day, and sleeps through the night
- Working on housebreaking
- Dog-friendly; Bunny enjoys running, playing, and wrestling with other dogs, though she remains submissive with older dogs who aren’t as playful. Her signature “paw-ey” play moves are endearing
- A sweet, loyal companion looking for a loving home that can help her build confidence and feel safe
- Bunny would thrive in a quiet household with another gentle and playful dog to guide her
