My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Daisy is about 9-years old. A short backstory about Daisy: Sometime mid 2023, Daisy was abandoned at a boarding facility, where she gave birth to pups. Daisy and her puppies were rescued by Cal Paws; all of her pups have since been adopted. At an unknown time in the past, Daisy was hit by a car and suffered an injury resulting in a "blind" right eye.  So, lets tell you about the Daisy we have come to know since the middle of 2023: sweet, calm, and lovingly responsive to kindness.

Daisy's favorite activity includes her morning and evening walks; and a few times a week, Daisy wil walk out to the back yard and suddenly engage in zooming around the yard, lasting for about 30 seconds, and then relaxing and rolling around. Personal favorites are the occasional treat, chewy toys and frozen femur bones .... and car rides.    Daisy's "Not Fun" list: not a water dog; pickup the water hose to water the garden, Daisy will go the opposite way. She does not like hoses or squirt bottles of any kind. She will occasionally lay in the back yard area, in the sun, by herself but she does not like to be left alone outside. She will walk outside with you, but as soon as you return to the house Daisy will immediately follow; often being first at the door to walk in with you.  Daisy knows "come, sit, stay, down (for treats), wait, No, leave it, heel (during walks), and will go to her crate when motioning with your hand and saying "Crate".

Daisy's LEASH MANNERS are excellent.  Daisy is absolutely great with strangers and children; loves to chase squirrels and cats that run along the top of the yard fences. (Hasn't even come close to ever making contact with them).  Daisy's House Manners are excellent: calm and responsive. At eating time, Daisy will sit patiently until given the okay to eat from the bowl. At home or on a walk, Daisy rarely barks. And when she does, it's one bark in a reaction to something. For example, if someone knocks on the front door Daisy will yelp out one bark.  Daisy truly enjoys car rides: She will, of course, "'call out shot gun'" as she makes her way to the front seat but is easily sent to the back seat, where she is attached to a doggie safety-buckle. Daisy remains calm throughout travels, sometimes resting her head at the top corner of the front seat.

The ideal place for Daisy is a calm environment ... Daisy enjoys her naps and staying nearby wherever you may be.  Another dog who is calm and not anxious would add to the ideal home for Daisy. ... Daisy would be a great addition to any person and/or family, who would be very lucky to have Daisy in their presence."
