My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nitro is a super smart, playful, and sweet 3 year old  boy who will make a great running buddy or movie buddy! Nitro is so full of love but after being surrendered by his previous owners, will do best with a patient family willing to continue working through positive reinforcement training for him while he continues to blossom. He is a cuddle bug and a shadow looking for his forever home! This playful boy loves playing with a jolly ball in the yard and will do best in a home with a fenced yard. He is used to being in a home with another dog.
He does best in a calmer daily environment. We have been working actively on stress management and he is learning how to manage high stimulus situations. However, he can manage a busy household during the holidays and does well with kids over 10. He loves to meet new people! He loves training games and is very responsive to positive reinforcement training. He is a very smart boy!
He does love playing and cuddling with his foster doggie brother but may need a slow introduction to a new dog. He has done great at dog parks meeting other dogs. He has great leash manners but is reactive to other dogs on leash and gets very excited by squirrels.
Nitro loves couches, and when he goes to a new place will probably hang out in the living room by the couch for a few days as he gets used to his new environment.

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs and cats come spayed/neutered and vaccinated! Some of the pups will only have their first round of shots and may need rabies if they are under 3 months old. But other than that, these babies come ready to go! Our adoption fees vary, please inquire about each dog's individual fees. We do have cats and kittens available from time to time, so please inquire if you are looking for a feline pal! With their vetting, flights and care, we only ask for the adoption donation to help offset costs and make sure our adopters are serious. We love our rescues like we love our family. They mean the world to us and we just want to see them in good loving homes! And please check back as we are always adding new rescues to this page.

More about this rescue

We approach each every situation with an open mind. We work to build respect and trust with the partners, communities and countries we work in. With their acceptance, we build a plan together to meet the most pressing issues. We listen, learn and solve the needs together. We look for solutions that are integrated, scale-able, and sustainable. At Compassion Kind, we work with governments, institutions, local leaders, civil society organizations, foundations and businesses around the world to ensure that the most vulnerable beings are heard, and that they get the assistance they need to sustain from within the communities. Our teams and partners advocate for capacity building training and grass roots techniques so we make a lasting impact, create measurable change and operate as efficiently as possible.
