My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chili urgently needs a foster or a forever home! This handsome ~5 year old has had a rough life that he never deserved. His sweet soul deserves all the love for the rest of his days.

Chili was originally pulled from the euthanasia list at a local shelter in 2020. Chili thrived in his foster home and enjoyed meeting neighbors, playing with his doggie foster sister, and swimming in the pool. He was such a charming and lovable boy who found himself a family who had someone home often, a pool for him to enjoy, and lots of love to give! We thought he had his happily ever after set for him.

One month ago we received the gut wrenching news that his family had gotten a new puppy 6 months prior and Chili was not meshing with the puppy. He also began to become very uncomfortable with strangers entering his home. This was not the Chili we once we knew and unfortunately we know suspect foul play. His family thankfully surrendered him, although they had also made an appointment to euthanize him as they believed "nobody can help him." We believed in Chili 4 years ago and we believe in him now. He has so much life left to live!

Chili unfortunately will do best without another dog in the home and no kids at this time. He still has moments where he is his old loving self, but he is slow to trust after all he has been through and will need time. Chili's ideal home is animal free, has a fenced yard, and is a female only household. We have so much faith in Chili fo find himself again once he learns to trust again, but for now he needs an environment where he can fully feel safe.

Chili is fully up to date on all vetting and is housetrained. This handsome boy knows his story is still just beginning and he will have a happy tail after all!

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs and cats come spayed/neutered and vaccinated! Some of the pups will only have their first round of shots and may need rabies if they are under 3 months old. But other than that, these babies come ready to go! Our adoption fees vary, please inquire about each dog's individual fees. We do have cats and kittens available from time to time, so please inquire if you are looking for a feline pal! With their vetting, flights and care, we only ask for the adoption donation to help offset costs and make sure our adopters are serious. We love our rescues like we love our family. They mean the world to us and we just want to see them in good loving homes! And please check back as we are always adding new rescues to this page.
