My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bodhi is around 4-5 years old and has been waiting for his forever home his whole life.

Bodhi was originally surrendered by his first owner as a four month old puppy. Unfortunately he had been severely underfed and had a lot of food aggression in the beginning. He was eventually adopted by a family for a year. That family worked with him on the food aggression for the first six months but then unfortunately enrolled him into a board and train program that used a shock collar. He had a lot of new triggers after the training and was eventually surrendered back.

He had a lot of triggers from that experience to work through that kept him in foster homes all this time, but he now no longer has food aggression and is such an easy and sweet boy! Bodhi now has the confidence to go out in public, loves to play with other dogs, and even tolerates posing in cute outfits! He’s a friendly and loving pup who has overcome so much to be the absolute perfect companion. He is more than ready to find his forever home now and keeps getting overlooked for reasons that nobody who knows him can understand. He will make a great running and adventure buddy and clearly, he’s an excellent model!

Bodhi is fully up to date on vetting and house trained. He is as lovely as he is handsome and he just can’t wait to FINALLY find his home!

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs and cats come spayed/neutered and vaccinated! Some of the pups will only have their first round of shots and may need rabies if they are under 3 months old. But other than that, these babies come ready to go! Our adoption fees vary, please inquire about each dog's individual fees. We do have cats and kittens available from time to time, so please inquire if you are looking for a feline pal! With their vetting, flights and care, we only ask for the adoption donation to help offset costs and make sure our adopters are serious. We love our rescues like we love our family. They mean the world to us and we just want to see them in good loving homes! And please check back as we are always adding new rescues to this page.

More about this rescue

We approach each every situation with an open mind. We work to build respect and trust with the partners, communities and countries we work in. With their acceptance, we build a plan together to meet the most pressing issues. We listen, learn and solve the needs together. We look for solutions that are integrated, scale-able, and sustainable. At Compassion Kind, we work with governments, institutions, local leaders, civil society organizations, foundations and businesses around the world to ensure that the most vulnerable beings are heard, and that they get the assistance they need to sustain from within the communities. Our teams and partners advocate for capacity building training and grass roots techniques so we make a lasting impact, create measurable change and operate as efficiently as possible.
