My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Minty: Your Future Best Friend!

About Minty:
Minty is a sweet and gentle 2-year-old Chihuahua mix who has come a long way from her days in a municipal shelter. We don’t know much about her past, but her initial fear and distrust indicate she might have had a tough start in life. When she was first rescued, she was shaking and scared, unsure of the world around her.

Personality:
Minty is a loving and loyal companion once she gets to know you. Although she was initially wary of both men and women, with time and patience, she has learned to trust and even show affection to her caretakers. She is a bit of a shy girl, especially around men, and may take a while to warm up to new people. However, with gentle and understanding handling, she blossoms into a loving and loyal friend.

Living Situation:
Minty currently lives in a kennel in Turkey, but she’s ready to find her forever home. She can coexist with cats, though she’s a bit timid around them. She would do best with a submissive and calm dog companion if there’s another dog in the home.

Favorite Things:
Minty absolutely loves her treats! They are the key to her heart and can help in building trust and bonding with her.

Ideal Home:
Minty needs a patient and understanding family who can give her the time she needs to adjust and feel safe. Because of her fear of men, she might do better in a household with women or with very gentle and patient men. A calm and peaceful environment would be perfect for her, where she can feel secure and loved.

Adoption Requirements:

A patient and understanding adopter
A calm household
Gentle handling and care
Preferably a female adopter or very patient males
Submissive and calm dog companions (if any)
Willingness to give Minty the time she needs to trust and settle

Minty can fly to Toronto or Vancouver when she finds her forever home!
