My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SOCIAL MEDIA HASHTAG: #thatradar

Radar is a handsome, 37lb, 4yr old guy (Jan 2023) who is quite charming. He has an extremely sweet nature, is gentle when taking treats, and gives very soft kisses. He also has the best ears! He's a little afraid when he meets new people, but he obviously wants to be loved. So in meeting Radar he'd need to be approached gently. He does warm up fast when you don't force yourself on him, and at that point he's very snuggly and affectionate.

Radar is extremely intelligent and learns quickly. However, he is NOT to be trusted off leash, as he bolts at the first opportunity of an open door. He is energetic, so he'll require a safe fenced yard to play in, and he'd LOVE a canine buddy to chase and wrestle around with - He LOVES dogs (NO cats)!

He is crate trained and house trained, and he rides well in a car. He loves to go on car rides, but he can get a little nervous when out and about. However, he does relax in time. He is also protective of his food, so we're working on this, as well, and making progress. As a result, it's best for no young children under the age of 16 to be in his new home.

Radar is an super hugger and will wrap all four legs around you, resting his head on your shoulder. He also loves to jump up and wrap his front legs around your waist, snuggling his head into your waist. He always wants you to know that you're loved.

He is a very playful guy, a super fast runner, and so enjoys sharing this with his doggy best friends. However, his new canine friends will need to be tolerant of his rough housing, for despite his little body, he is a go getter! His mouthiness for other dogs is a little too much for some, so it's important that another dog is accepting of this. He's just a silly, active boy that loves to play, play, play!

Yet he is so well behaved indoors...he's such a great little guy! He just needs the right home that accepts his energy and high levels of play, as well as continue working with him on meeting new people. He does fine with meet and greets in his home, but out and about he becomes a little more hesitant on new friends.

We have a lot of fun with this little happy fella, and we know his new family will, too - he just needs that special someone willing to accept his energy and fears. He's truly a sweet natured boy and as cute as he can be. If you think you're interested, please let us know!
