My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

100% Purebred Good Boy!

Meet Bruno,aka Bru Bru. He is the best boy ever! Bruno is 45lbs of happy hound. He currently lives with two other dogs, two cats, and 5 humans. (best if cats have own space & feeding area as he loves to snack on kitty kibbles.) He is playful and loves the company of his dog sisters, and would do best with a dog companion. Bruno loves naps and sleeping in all the comfy places,: couches, chairs, beds, dog beds, pillows, etc. He is not a fan of crates & like the good boy he is, has never required one.

Bruno loves it most when you come home & greets you with a loud string of barks. He loves ear scratches & belly rubs.

Bruno loves the outdoors: playing outside, laying outside, and just standing in the sun. Walks are high on his "to do" list because he is a hound and "smells " are his favorite adventure... with nose to the ground.He walks perfectly on a leash. Bruno gets vocal & barks at bicycles, motorcycles, garbage trucks, and, well, any loud vehicle. He wants to run with them! Also, Bruno is a fast runner and if he sneaks out the door, he will run wild and free. He loves treats (is kind of a treat snob), playing fetch, & chewing on bones.

Words cannot explain how sweet & loving this pup is. Bruno is approx 1 1/2 years old. He came to his foster family with heartworm, but has fully recovered.

Bruno has the sofest, velvety ears we ever did encounter and Bruno says if you would like to scratch his ears, he'll love you forever. Hed be a great family pet. Bruno is house broken & very friendly.

Everyone MUST submit an application to be considered for adoption

Interview

We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

Home Check

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
